With increasing interest in dark roasted coffee from our customers, we are going to give this blend a test run on our website.

As coffee snobs, we sometimes judge those who like to be smacked in the mouth with their morning cup of joe, but I’ve had a change of heart. The reason coffee roasters usually shy away from really dark roasted coffee, is because it leaves very little chance for the flavor of the original bean to come through. Now, while this is absolutely true, who are we to say that you can’t enjoy your coffee exactly how you want to enjoy it!

Be warned, this IS dark, it will taste very robust and have huge body. The beans will be very dark with some oil shininess, which have been shown to oxidize quickly and create less desired flavors. We recommend using it with 3 weeks of the roast date for the best experience, or freezing in a freezer safe bag. (Yes you can grind frozen beans just fine)
